Preschool Programs
for children 3 - 5 years of age. We believe that the time a child
spends “playing” allows for some of the most important discoveries. These discoveries are fostered through a variety
learning experiences including sensory explorations, dramatic play, language development, mathematics, science, role playing,
fine motor activities and self exploration. This is accomplished through group instruction as well as individual activities
at the learning centers. It is also important that a child be afforded an outlet for all their energy through gross motor
activities played both indoor and out.Children participate in a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes positive
social, emotional and educational growth. The curriculum is developed by a caring and nurturing staff that adheres to the
standards set forth by the National Association Education of the Young Child. Our curriculum is further enhanced by the participation
in field trips, visitors to the classroom as well as seasonal celebrations. The Universal Pre- Kindergarten curriculum is
provided in our four year old classroom that has been certified by New York State Department of Education. Children
enjoy learning in a fun environment that offers "a jump start for their elementary school years." Kid's Place is
proud to be the Community Based Organization for the Beacon City School District. The Learning Centers available to the children include: Dramatic
