*Toddler * Preschool * Pre – Kindergarten  Programs

We believe that the time a child spends “playing” allows for some of the most important discoveries.  These discoveries are fostered through a variety of learning experiences including sensory explorations, dramatic play, language development, mathematics, science, role playing, fine motor activities and self exploration of the classroom.  This is accomplished through teacher led group  instruction as well as self selected centers.  It is also important that a child be afforded an outlet for all of their energy through gross motor activities played both indoors and outside.  Children participate in a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes positive social and emotional growth while developing a love for learning.  The curriculum is taught by a caring and nurturing staff that adhere to the NAEYC guidelines.  Our curriculum is further enhanced by the participation in filed trips and visitors to the classroom.  The children participate in seasonal celebrations to strengthen the home to  school connection.  Kids Place knows that the time a child spends playing helps to foster knowledge discoveries that build skills for a lifetime.

In this fast paced world we also understand that families need flexibility in selecting program hours that meet their families needs.  You can register your child to attend full day or part as well as select the number of days during the week.  We also offer drop in care to assist in those last minute change of plans.

The Day Care Experience

The Toddler Program provides care for children 18 months – 3 years of age. The Preschool is for children 3 – 5 years of age.   A typical morning in the classrooms begins with centers that have been set out by the teacher for them to enjoy when they arrive to the classroom. This may include playing housekeeping, puzzles, trains, or sensory table.  The children have a morning snack before they begin their circle activities.  During circle time children welcome each other to school with a special song, have a story read to them,  enjoy finger plays as well as talk about the weather as well as the daily plans.   The class also enjoys signing the thematic song for the week. Children are invited to table top centers.  During this time children will work on their weekly theme projects. The class enjoys gross motor play both indoors and out in the morning as well as in the afternoon.  When the weather does not permit the children are able to play in our full sized gymnasium.  The toddlers have a daily report sent home to recap their day.

The Preschool program provides care for children 3 – 5 years of age in two classrooms.  The children are developing self help skills, expanding their social skills as well as increase their knowledge of the worlding around them.  In the Pre – Kindergarten program the children work in centers that require independence while working under the guidance of the classroom teachers.
